LAST DAY TO SUBMIT A SONG FOR THE CHRISTMAS ALBUM!!

We have really enjoyed listening to the submissions we have received so far and we can not wait to share them everyone!

Technically today is the deadline for all submissions, however we will not be putting the tracks together until Wednesday if you need an extra day.  Most submissions have been mailed to dudelocker@mail.com although some have been given to us on a cd.  Let us know if that is easier for you.

Album submissions so far . . .

have been amazing and so much fun!  We have an even mix of non-holiday songs vs holidays songs.  All but one track are originals, however the version of “Let It Snow” sounds as if the artist wrote the timeless song himself.  We really look forward to hearing the rest of your work!  Let us know if you have any questions!

Christmas Album submission deadline is December 6th

We will start putting the tracks together on December 7th or 8th and hope that we can have it available for the upcoming shows in December.

We will do our best to get a copy to each band member that participates.

Submissions do not have to be studio quality.  We love the raw rough cuts that represent who we are!

December 18th is our last show of 2010!

Come see performances from Old Worlds, Lemia Belus, Same Same, and Calm Palm Vapor (Chicago) at the warehouse on December 18th!  This will be a great end to a great year!

Doors open at 8pm and music starts at 9pm.  Donations will be collected at the door.

Dude Locker Christmas Album – update

We hope everyone has had a most excellent Thanksgiving!  We are so grateful for all the creative minds and kind souls that come through the warehouse every day!  We have really enjoyed watching the warehouse evolve over the past three years and love that we have so much to look forward to!

For instance, there have been a lot of bands showing interest in being featured on our first (hopefully annual) christmas album.  Only a few songs have been submitted and they have been originals (awesome!) so all traditional songs are still open.  We would like to minimize the number of  repeats, so if you have something specific planned let us know.  We will update the song list here.  Our ultimate goal is to have fun with this project.   We would to create something  shows off all of the unique styles that make this place great!

If this is your first time reading about this, submissions can be emailed to dudelocker@mail.com by December 5th.  Please include your band name and website, song title, and how many members are in your band.  We will do our best to get a copy to everyone that participates!

Also, we are open to submissions for artwork for the cover.  If you have ideas or want to submit something feel free to email us.

We are looking forward to having this album under our christmas tree!!

edited to add:  A few bands have asked if submissions need to be Christmas songs.  No, they do not.  All songs are welcome.   We would like to have an album that encourages people to check out the wide range of talent that hangs out here.  It’s your album, make it what you want!!

2nd to last show in 2010!!

On Saturday, December 11th Netherfriends from Chicago will end their winter tour at the warehouse.  House favorites Aperture and i am mute are on the line up along with new faces Maneater and the Juggernauts.

Doors will open at 9ish and music starts at 10ish.  Donations will be collected at the door.

Be a part of the first Dude Locker Christmas Album!!

So we are getting ready to put together our first christmas album!  This is open to all bands that have been involved with the warehouse past or present, local or traveling.  If your band would like to have a song on our album send your audio file to dudelocker@mail.com along with your band name, song title, and your bands website address.  There are no specific requirements.  Choose any song or make one up and have fun!  We will be back with an ongoing list of songs that have already been submitted.

We can’t wait to hear it!!!
